Bus Crash: Driver Due in Court

Curan & Ahlers

I am sure many of you have heard of the famed China Town bus services that will shuttle you to your destination for an absurdly low price.  As New York auto accident attorneys, we have always advised our clients that if it looks too good to be true it most likely is. Horrible safety records and drivers forced to move at breakneck speeds to make time are not a recipe for success or safety.  On May 31, a bus run by Sky Express bound for New York City overturned on I-95, killing 4 people and seriously injuring many more.

The driver, Queens resident Kin Yui Chueng, admitted that he fell asleep behind the wheel when the bus crashed and he is due in court Wednesday and facing felony charges.  We will have more information as it becomes available, but for now we would advise everyone to stay away from these companies, the risks are not worth it.
